Dr. Vasquez has been treating orthopedic and pelvic floor conditions since her graduation from Regis University’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program in 2013. Her initial exposure to pelvic health was during a clinical rotation in Ethiopia where she spent time with postpartum women suffering from fistulas. She became devoted to finding solutions for pelvic floor conditions early in her career when treating high school female athletes. As she helped these athletes mend and excel in sport, Chelsey’s passion was ignited and she focused her education and training on pelvic health. Dr. Vasquez has since received the PRPC (Pelvic Rehabilitation Practitioner Certification) designating her an expert in treating pelvic floor conditions. She has also earned the CMTPT (Certified Myofascial Trigger Point Therapist), a certification of advanced dry needling techniques.
Chelsey combines this expert knowledge of the pelvic floor and myofascial pain for a unique treatment approach attracting patients from both in and out of state who seek this particular skill set. She believes in educating her patients to truly understand their condition and therapeutic process to not only achieve their goals, but independently manage and maintain their health as they transition back into their activities.
Chelsey comes to MEND from Denver, where she has been practicing for the past 7 years directing and managing a pelvic health physical therapy clinic. Dr. Vasquez has created treatment programs for patients across the lifespan in women, men, children, and the LGBTQ community. She treats a multitude of diagnoses from bladder and bowel dysfunction to complex pain disorders such as pudendal neuralgia, endometriosis, and dyspareunia.
